Who we are

Farm Field Companion is a product of Bug & Bean LLC, which runs it. By making an account or using the planner you agree to these terms. Questions go to hello@farmfieldcompanion.com.

The service and your account

Farm Field Companion is a planner for a field: you draw its outline, lay out beds and crops, and plan the season, water and soil. You need an account to use it, and you must be old enough to make a contract where you live (18 in most of the United States). Give a real email address, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has got into your account. You are responsible for what is done under it, including by the people you invite to your farms.

The subscription

A subscription costs $15 a month or $150 a year, and covers every flat field you own. It renews automatically: at the start of each month or year we charge the card you gave, at the price then in force, until you cancel. Payments go through Stripe, and we never see your card details. Before a yearly plan renews, we email you a reminder. If the price changes, we email you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.

Canceling and refunds

You can cancel online at any time from your account page, with no need to write to us. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for, and the subscription does not renew. Partial periods are not refunded, except where the law requires it or where we end the service (see below).

Deleting your account cancels the subscription at once and ends your access. Anything you want to keep should be downloaded first: the account page offers each farm you own as a file. What happens to your information after that is on the Privacy page.

Your plans are yours

What you put into the planner, your outlines, beds, crops, dates and records, belongs to you. You can export it as a file at any time. When a subscription ends, your fields are kept and open read only, and you can still download them. You give us only the permission we need to store your plans and show them to you and to the people you invite.

Acceptable use

Use the service to plan fields. Do not break the law with it, try to get into other people’s farms or accounts, probe or overload the site, copy or resell the planner, or use it to send spam or harm. We may suspend or close an account that does, and we will say why when we can.

If we end the service

If we stop offering Farm Field Companion, we will email you at least 30 days before, keep your plans available to download until then, and refund the unused part of any period you have already paid for.

Availability, and planning figures

We work to keep the service running but do not promise it will always be available or without errors, and we may change or retire features. Plant, spacing, yield, sun, water and soil figures are typical planning values, shown as such. Distances and areas are approximate. They are a starting point, not advice for your particular ground: measure before you build, and check figures against your own experience and local sources. The service is provided as it is, with no warranty of any kind, to the extent the law allows.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, Bug & Bean LLC is not liable for lost crops, lost income or any indirect or consequential loss that comes from using the service or from a figure in it. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer law that cannot be given up by agreement.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed, and for a change that matters we will email you or say so in the planner before it applies. Using the service after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and any dispute goes to the courts there, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it at home.
